Finally on the Water

Launch day, the guys at the Ionion Marine came with their tractor to collect ZigZag then took her off the stand and to the lifting crane ready for launch. We were then able to touch up the anti foul over the patches where the stand had been before launch.

What a relief to be out of the boatyard and afloat. As we were the last launch of the day we spent the first night in the dock just checking everything works ok. So far so good.

On 2nd August we slipped our lines and left Preveza, we motored to Lefkas as we didn’t yet have any sails attached. We had new rigging installed which still needed to be fine tuned before we could sail, this was due to be done in a couple of days in Lefkas so we anchored just at the end of the Lefkas channel before going into the marina for the rigging work to be completed.
